What is I Don’t Want To Be a Hater?
Personal essays. Rants. The thoughts you have while scrolling your twitter feed. The conversations you have after everyone else has left the party. The feelings you get when you’ve finally gone home and you’re all alone and can’t sleep and the birds are chirping and the sun is shining through your window. The imaginary argument you have in the shower. The way you wish the conversation went after you’ve dissected it over and over in your head. The thing that distracts you when your office job is dragging on and on and on and you feel like the only person who “gets it”. I Don’t Want To Be a Hater is mostly about me and my thoughts on the things that are happening around me— the enjoyable, but mostly the not so enjoyable.
I don’t aim to teach you anything, or inform you about anything, or keep you up to date on news of any kind. I don’t even think my goal is to entertain you. My friends are tired of hearing my voice and receiving 32 consecutive texts. So now you’re just kinda along for the ride, sorry.
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new essay goes directly to your inbox every week whenever I feel like posting it, and if you do happen to miss an essay, it probably won’t matter anyways, so don’t worry.
